Foundry's HPC Ethernet Alliance Program
The Foundry HPC Ethernet Alliance Program has been developed to promote and accelerate deployment of high performance GE and 10G solutions for the HPC community. Foundry Networks provides the industry's most complete solution of Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet switches for use in High Performance Computing (HPC) environments. All products, regardless of size, deliver non-blocking performance, efficient, compact form factors and the industry's lowest latency. Recognizing the need for scalability in HPC solutions, Foundry's BigIron family of products is based on a single stage, Clos switch. This architecture, when combined with Virtual Output Queuing and distributed fabric scheduling extend the reach of Ethernet-based interconnects. For mid-size and smaller clusters Foundry offers the FastIron and EdgeIron families of products.

- Up to 204 ports of Gigabit Ethernet or up to 16 ports of 10GE
- Up to 10,000+ ports of Gigabit Ethernet or up to 4,000+ ports of 10GE
FastIron Workgroup Switch - X Series
The FastIron Workgroup Switch family supports 24 or 48 ports of high performance and low latency. The FastIron Workgroup Switch X family has removable and replaceable 10 Gigabit Ethernet modules in a 1.5 rack unit form factor. The family of switches includes the FWSX424, FWSX448. The FastIron Edge Switch - X Series has the same form factor and performance characteristics but is upgradeable to full Layer 3 functionality. Learn more
FastIron SuperX
