Overview
Foundry's L2-3 wired and wireless switch and router products provide a number of converged, embedded, high-speed security features that protect the network infrastructure from being attacked by malicious or accidental users. These features insure that networks built around Foundry's switching and routing products are secure, stable, and continue to forward packets at wire-speed without vulnerabilities and with no loss of service. Foundry's embedded security features are designed for secure converged services. This insures secure communications and infrastructure for both voice, video, and data service. As VoIP services grow in the many organizations, it is imperative that these services be secured and that service uptime is guaranteed for all traffic.
Foundry's networking products support a number of critical security features, including DoS attack protection for the industry's widest range of services; both for L2, L3, and L4 (TCP/UDP) service protection. Wire speed access control lists and rate limiting capabilities are easily implemented and managed in Foundry's implementation. Foundry also supports a number of rogue services protection features, including DHCP snooping, ARP Inspection, and IP Source protection to prevent IP and MAC layer spoofing, as well as validating DHCP services.
For wireless environments, Foundry's access points can be easily turned into Rogue AP detection and suppression engines, preventing rogue AP's from violating network security policy.
